“Really thinking about buying this TV because of the ROKU, however I am reading a lot about the high pitch noise on black screens. Has anything been done to fix this?”

Some models have what’s called Coil Whine when local dimming is set to high. You can turn this setting to Medium and it should offset the noise at the cost of some picture quality.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't experienced this in the short time I've had the set. But from what I read it's only on the 55" model, it happens when the local dimming is set to high and the screen is completely black and that it isn't affecting all sets. I say if you really want this set it shouldn't be an issue.
