You can program the TV to power onto a specific input or the last used input. To do this you would go to Home>Settings>System>Power>Power on>Select the input that you would like the TV to power on to. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No you do not. You can choose which input you want it to default to everytime you turn the TV on. I have the Fire TV set to the 2nd HDMI and have that selected by default. Works like a charm.
