• You need HDMI Arc to control a sound bar with the Roku remote.

• This TCL Roku TV is compatible with most external speakers and soundbars and can be connect through the HDMI ARC port, Optical Audio Out port, or headphone jack. If using the Optical port, you would need to use the soundbar remote to control the volume. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
