“How does the sound work if I route it from the TV to my receiver, then to my surround speakers? Has anyone done this, and if so is there synchronization issue between the video and the audio (that is the audio lags)?”

I use a 15 year old Vizio sound bar--which lagged with the Samsung set I had at the time of purchase--and there is no apparent lag with the TCL. We sometimes use the TV's sound (which can be set for easy-to-understand speech) with the sound bar and subwoofer, and they seem to match up exactly.

The 6 series also has a digital optical out, supporting up to Dolby Digital Plus, as well as an HDMI ARC for digital content. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
