• Sure. I don't use the original either. I use a Harmony 650 for all my devices. This would be overkill for your mom though. Just about any new universal should work fine. • Yes. I don’t use the Roku tv remote. The Comcast provided remote works great. Any Harmony or universal remote should work with this tv but I haven’t tried them.
