“Why is this TV showing as clearance? Is there a new version coming out or is this model older than I thought? It gets great reviews so I was hoping to get one.”

It is a great TV and was/is their top of their line (biggest @ 75” and series 8, their highest level). It may be discounted for 1 or 2 reasons. 1. Open box maybe? 2. TCL just announced their 85” is coming out (their first that size) a few weeks back and this one may be discounted to make room for them. The new 85” doesn’t have a series number yet, but it was expected to be around a 7 or 8 or higher when it comes out in terms of quality.
