I'm sure it's dependent on where the broadcast tower are in relation to where you have the antenna. There may be more than one broadcast tower you are trying to access and, yes, it is line of sight, too. Use the link here (https://www.antennasdirect.com/transmitter-locator.html), even call them and they will tell you which direction to point the antenna. Super nice people, very helpful. Best Buy sell their stuff too. I was going to buy one of the outdoor antennas, but this one seems to be sufficient. My goal is obviously to cut the cord of DirecTv ($150+/month). This antenna, Hulu + Live, Amazon Prime, and Netflix has all my viewing needs covered. I have the same issue with CBS, CW, Fox on one broadcast tower, and NBC/ABC on another. Play with it a little, even just moving the cable from the TV improves my reception. Ideally, an outdoor antenna is the best option.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also have that problem. As mentioned by others, the problem could be with the location if the transmitter towers. I have been reading about different antennas and tower locations and found that in my area CBS and NBC transmit on VHF high frequencies and the other channels transmit on UHF frequencies. See if you can find an antenna that can pick up both UHF and VHF frequencies and that might help. I picked one up at Best Buy for @ $30.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found it difficult to get the CBS station in my area. Signal was weaker than other stations. Had some success in the front area of my house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We also had the same problem. I cannot get those stations either. I can only get ABC. For the CBS, I bought an All Access package online for $5.99 a month and streamed it with a Roku ( an older one that's probably 5 years old). I'm satisfied with the CBS on the Tv, but very disappointed in the antenna since it doesn't even pick up stations 45 miles away.
