• It will pick up dog hair and place it into the dirty water tank. The mop feature runs as long as the unit it on.

• You should definitely vacuum dog hair first, but it will pick up any residue dog hair as you mop!

• It can but it would always be best to vacuum first then mop. Get a tineco stick vacuum they are powerful and light. You will cut down on having to clean the roller more that way.
