“Is this similar to a "Jack in the box" but maybe with bluetooth? I don't see a lid that would go down on top of the little guy. is that just not shown for the picture? Does it plug in or take batteries? How many and what kind? or maybe rechargeable?”

The Toniebox is an imagination-building, screen-free speaker that plays stories, songs, and more. Designed for little listeners ages 3+, it’s the perfect storytime companion for tiny hands and active imaginations. This is not Jack in the Box, the Tonies attach to the top of the Toniebox via a magnet. The Toniebox uses a built-in nickel-metal hydride battery, also known as a NiMH battery. It is charged using the included charging station. The Toniebox can be operated while the battery is charging without an issue.
