We have used ours on our covered deck for a day at a time (without issue), then bring it back in again. I would not leave ours outdoors for any longer than that. They make tv's that are rated for outdoors (much much more expensive), but this one would likely not fare well if left outside for any period of several days at a time, in high humidity conditions, or if it got damp from a rain, etc.

This television (Toshiba 32L310U18) is an indoor appliance, and is not designed to be installed in an outdoor environment with large variations in temperature and humidity. The owner’s manual warns against subjecting the set to sudden changes in temperature, causing condensation to form inside the unit. Having said that, the set is lightweight enough to be portable, and could be operated safely on a porch on an occasional basis, in good weather, provided that it is plugged into an outlet with a working ground-fault circuit interruptor (GFCI). It has a two-prong polarized plug, not a three-prong grounded plug. The picture can be adjusted to a very bright level for indoor use — I can still enjoy it with the window shades open and afternoon sun shining in — but it would likely provide satisfactory viewing only on a shady porch or veranda.
