• This TV appears to ONLY stream via Chromecast (Google Cast) and does not connect directly to the internet via installed apps, as I would expect from a 'smart tv'. So I would say this is NOT a 'smart tv', but is Chromecast compatible.

• No it does not have built in apps...however it has chrome cast. Apps on your phone or tablet that are compatible with chromecast (youtube and netflix are) allow you to cast the image from your device directly to the TV screen.

• It can not connect to your WiFi network directly. You can connect a media player that can receive an wifi signal to work with your WiFi network, but it is not a smart tv in the full sense. Also It will allow to stream from your phone/tablet using Chromecast.

• Yes! You can play YouTube videos from your phone on your TV. The setup is pretty simple to connect the TV to the Internet. As for Netflix and streaming services, it is possible to play those as well if you don't have a separate player.
