Hi, my father in law (74 years old) bought this TV in January 2017. The sound works, but the screen is black. I searched the web and it seems to be a systemic manufacturing defect of this TV. You can do a test using a flash light. Turn on your TV and get close to it moving your flash light on the screen. You will probably see whatever is on your screen as if it was working properly, but only on a black screen. A board inside the TV needs to be changed, but I think that Toshiba dropped the ball with this TV and it would deserve a class action suit. It is not acceptable that a $600 TV stop working in less than 3 years.
