You’ll need WiFi for Netflix or Prime, but an antenna is OK for over the air. Mine is connected to cable and Internet. Pleased with the TV.

It does not have to be hooked up to Satellite or Cable to function, but you will need to have access to the internet to use any of the smart TV functionality. The image from an antenna is great, depending on how close you are to the station and the type of antenna you attach it to. When you first sign in, the TV gives you the option to sign into your existing Amazon account or to start a new one. If you're already a Prime member and login to your account, you'll already be logged into your Prime. You'll have to enter your Netflix id and password separately

An HD antenna is required if you want to watch free over-the-air broadcasts from your local channels. An internet connection is required to stream content from Netflix and Amazon Prime video.
