“How do I connect the 55" Toshiba Fire TV to my Amazon echo device? Amazon says to download and use the Toshiba Smart Home app, but when I try the app can't find the TV. I've connected it in my Alexa app, but I can't turn the power on or off with it.”

go to the Alexa app go to your Settings button go down to video and TV next you’ll click on Fire TV and link your Fire TV with your Alexa device. That’s how you connect the two also for music wise you can Bluetooth connect the tv with Your echo device also in the echo settings or Alexa settings you will go to Fire TV and link the two devices only one echo Can be linked together per TV
