“Very unfamiliar with this. I like the tv and want to get Firestiks for this tv and one in the basement. My question can you set up? And make sure I have local programming.”

IF YOU HAVE A FIRE EDITION TV YOU ALREADY HAVE A FIRE STICK IN THE TV, FOR LOCAL CHANNELS YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES 1. AN ANTENNA, 2. IPTV SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE... YOU CAN ALSO INSTALL TEAM VIEWER ON YOUR TV AND OTHERS LIKE MYSELF CAN QUICK SUPPORT INTO AND WALK YOU THROUGH THE SET UP. OR YOU CAN SIMPLY GOOGLE SEARCH FOR VIDEOS ON SETTING THOSE THINGS UP.

As for local programming you will need a cable provider or HD antenna to still obtain television stations. Fire sticks or this televison does not take the place alone for a replacement of provider of local TV or cable TV. Provider of service is still necessary but with this TV you will be able to download an app or use existing apps to obtain network service of cable or local TV programs.
