I was about to say yes until you mentioned the sound.. yes I have experienced the dark screen but I learned that it does that on rest mode. After a while of being on it will do that. Or when you first set it up it seemed the TV was black for a minute til I pressed the center button. The power button doesn’t work as fast as the middle “ok” “enter” button.. but when you mentioned the sound being on but no picture, that worries me a lil bit and if you happened to just buy the TV and didn’t get the protection plan I would maybe consider returning it for another and tell them your problem in trust that there could be a failure in the near future. See if they can give you another and then see if it does the same exact thing cuz if it doesn’t then we now know it was a problem your would be facing worse later on. Mine does not stay black but give sound. That’s not good and hope it’s still new in your possession to maybe take care of this issue.
