Half a second sounds completely ridiculous for everything but how fast the IRS grabs theirs. I'd suggest that your TV may have issues, however, this product isn't known for high refresh rates, so maybe you want a 120Hz or faster unit?

I don’t play video games so watching tv is not too bad . Also reviews I have seen on other tvs talk about when the tv goes black how deep it is . My tv doesn’t go full black some light around edges.. over all I’m happy for tv watching I bought it on sale for 549 75” so figured it wouldn’t be above average . Like you I noticed the problem right away when things were moving fast but maybe I have become use to it a notice less now .
