“I know you can connect 2 or more of these cameras to the app. but can you see 2 live feeds at the same time? Or is it that you only get a list of cameras in the app and you have to click on one to see the live feed, then go back and select another one”

Hi! Yes, with the latest version of the Kasa app, you can navigate to the Cameras menu, then tap the "play button" on the two cameras you want to view live.
