You can set it to alert you at any sound, when it detects a baby crying, and/or just leave it recording 24/7 and use it as a monitor. It works great in all these circumstances. I’m attaching a couple photos from the Kasa app settings, so you can see what I mean. I’m not a Kasa shill.. But after seeing Blink be absorbed into the Amazon product ecosystem, which made it far less useful (unless you pay for a monthly subscription service, of course) I’m always on the lookout for products like the original blink, before Amazon screwed it all up when they bought the company. Kasa is it right now. This is the best camera for the best prices, with no strings attached. Just be sure to get an SD card and you’re good to go. TL;DR = yes!
