“Does Kasa guarantee security that no one can hack into the camera or app via another IP address with the motion off or on. I'm very leary after reading that others have had this issue; even when camera motion detection is off.”

You need to have a secure Wi-Fi network. We use ours to view our 100 lb dog. Never had a problem. We have encrypted Wi-Fi! If you encounter that problem then contact Kasa! Good luck!

We recommend using a modern encryption standard and strong password for your router's Wi-Fi network. Second, your Kasa account (which is required to manage the camera) is encrypted via the cloud. We use industry-standard AES 128-bit encryption with SSL/TLS. As with your Wi-Fi password, we highly suggest creating a strong password for your Kasa account. Third, you can opt-into the Two-Step Verification (also known as Two-Factor Authentication) feature in the Kasa app, which adds another layer of security to your Kasa account and devices.
