This sounds like it might be a concern with Apple working as the Matter Controller. We would recommend reaching out to Apple to troubleshoot their device, acting as the matter controller, usually the HomePod, and see if there is a communication issue there. If not reach back out to TP-Link support so engineering can be involved.
