Powerline connectivity and data transfer rates will vary due to network environment variables including: distance between adapters, network traffic, noise on electrical wires, building material and construction, quality of electrical installation and other adverse conditions. First, please ensure both Powerline adapters are plugged directly into wall outlets - no surge protectors or power strips as these will directly interfere with the connection. We recommend following the suggestions outlined in FAQ 409 on our official website: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/409/

See what breakers supply each of the two outlets that you plan to install these on. Make sure that both are on the same side of the electrical breaker box. If not, these will NOT work. If both are on same side of breaker box, should do OK for gaming.
