Yes you can, the Mic has three positions, down is on and open for talking, flip it up to mute it and then it has a storage position for when it's off

Yes, all you have to do is move the mic up one notch to mute and all the way to turn off.

Yes. You just rotate the microphone into the up postition to mute, move it back down to unmute. It plays a sound in the headset when you mute/unmute as well.
