The Boom 2 is definitely loud enough for an outdoor party! Have tried it out and it most definitely made an outstanding performance.

The Boom 3 (and 2) has great sound and can fill up a decent size room, but when you bring it outside, the sound will dissipate much quicker. Fortunately, they are able to connect with as many other Boom, Boom 2, Boom 3, Megaboom, Megaboom 3, and Hyperboom speakers as you want! Depending on the size of the space that you are throwing your party, I would suggest 2-4 Booms or Megabooms... Or you can go with our newest and biggest speaker, the Hyperboom! One Hyperboom will definitely be enough for most parties!
