Hello. The Ultimate Ears speakers are not fire resistant. They contain a Lithium-Ion battery that is actually quite flammable. The Boom 3 should be getting about 15 hours of playtime (at 70% volume) when fully charged. The Megaboom 3 is 20 hours (at 70% volume). Battery life goes down, as the volume goes up. In order to maintain the best possible performance of your Boom3 or Megaboom3, you should download the Ultimate Ears app. Along with many added features, the app allows you to keep the firmware of the speaker up-to-date.
