• Front only. Or rear, if you don't mind running the long cord forward to the cigarette lighter. If you want front and rear you'll need two units, and two cigarette lighter sockets.

• I wouldn't use it for backing up. It is a great dash cam, but the screen is on the actual camera so you wouldn't be able to see it from the front seat if it's connected to the back window.
