QuestionI have Uniden DC1...The screen goes dark in record mode, but I assume it is still recording. Does auto shutoff control the screen going blank? I would like the screen to stay on while driving. It is not a distraction for me if the screen stays on.

- Answer With power on and not recording, hit Menu twice (left middle button) to get the Setup menu. Use arrow keys to go down to Screensaver, OK to confirm, arrows to select Off (aka Disabled), OK to confirm. Menu again to exit. Screen should now be on all the time. PS: Owner's Manual, page 17. :)

QuestionHow long does the 8 GB, 16 GB, or 32 GB SD card allow the video to capture before looping?

- Answer I had the 8 GB and I think it only allowed for about 2 hours. I changed to a 32 GB and expect much more out of it. I suggest the 32 GB if you take long trips. The 8 GB is fine for in town such as going to work. And don't forget, if anything happens you can just push one button and that will be saved.

- Answer Yes, if you have it plugged it. My lighters are on 24/7, so I have to plug it in.unplug it every time. If your cigarette lighter has no power to it when the key is off, then it will turn off automatically.

QuestionMy stop recording when my 32gb card is full. There is a blue screen pops out "Cardfull". It should be looping overwrite but it is not. Just recently happened. Anyway to fix it? or should I just manual delete every week? Thanks

- Answer If you read the manual it'll guide you to access an option for "loop recording". If this option is turned off, your dashcam will stop recording once the storage is full and you will need to manually delete. The loop recording option records in 3 minutes and re-records over the oldest file once storage is full. There's also something called a Gsensor option that will lock any files when impact is detected. Hope it helps!

- Answer Hi, It comes with a suction cup that works just fine. I mounted mine high on the windshield in front of the visor.

QuestionBasically, what mode do you guys choose for motion detection? On or Off? Please explain why do you choose that mode. Also Gsensor: off, 2G, 4G, or 8G? Really appreciate it! :)

- Answer Motion Detection is to detect movement outside the vehicle, say a shopping cart or car hits the vehicle while its parked. The G-Sensor is for the about of G force or impact of the collision and where the camera will automatically tag and save the video clip. The higher the G the higher the impact will have to be to initiate the tag or save point. I keep it all at 2G, so it tags anything even light bumps. Keep in mind bumps and pot holes in the road will initiate tags. even if the sensor is off you still can hit the save button on the back of the device after an accident happens ( to you or someone else). Hope this helps.

- Answer On my DC1, with power on and not recording, I hit Menu twice (left middle button) which shows the Setup options. Use the arrow keys to select Date/Time, OK to confirm. Once in the Date/Time menu, press the arrows to change any number, OK to confirm and go to the next number, and once you're satisfied, press Menu again to exit.

- Answer MODEL DCCAM: No it does not come with an app to view the video. You will need a card reader for the card to view and download files. Comes with an 8GB MicroSD card.

- Answer While recording mode is on: Press the power button(#11 in the directions booklet) to turn infrared LEDs (night vision) on or off.

QuestionUnsatisfied. Loop recording set to three minutes, however once the three minutes are up it simply stops all recording and does not start recording again and have to do it manually which is dangerous and unpractical. Suggestions?

- Answer Buy a 32GB memory card and take it off loop. I wonder if your memory card is full. If so delete video often. I erase mine every friday afternoon.

- Answer https://www.uniden.com/product-information/owners-manuals Go here and type in DCAM Press Enter Click on English BOOM! There it is! You can click File, Save As, if you want to save it on your pc. It probably won't help though. This camera is a piece of junk.
