• A:Answer most likely 120, but it is quite extensive and gives a wide view of on goings. it can be turned if needed to capture anything else as someone asking for you to open a window for them asking directions or cursing you. or anything you want to video. a picture is worth a thousand words.

Q: QuestionHow to you charge the battery when first using? Does it charge when you plug it into the cig lighter? It says to charge for 90 mins on initial use? If you charge through the cig lighter does the car have to be running? Thanks!

Q: QuestionMy DCAM keeps saying "Please Insert SD Card" whenever I turn it on. I haven't had it long. It worked fine for about 2 months then all of a sudden started saying this. I have powered off, reset, removed SD card, connected to computer, etc. Please help.

• A:Answer I actually bought 2 of these Uniden DCAM cameras on the same purchase intending one for my son and the other for my wife as I already use a better named brand but thought I would give Uniden a shot. Unfortunately, both of them have bit the dust within a few weeks of use! The first one had a line going through the screen when it powered up. I thought it might be a fluke, but not so fast. Now the second one is stating "please insert SD card" and I have tried eveything to reset it, format the card and even bought a brand new card yesterday! But to no avail, it still has the same issue, so I'm done with it now! VERY dissatisfied and will never buy another Uniden product again. What a huge waste of time and money!

• A:Answer Check the power connections. Fully charge the device from USB outside the vehicle before using. If it still power cycles, return it for a replacement. I bought 2, no issues.

• A:Answer There is a mini-USB port on the side and the power cord has a mini-USB plug. It looks kinda obvious. I haven't yet used mine because the single available 12V cigarette lighter receptacle is being used for a radar detector, so it looks like I'll have to cut off the power cord lighter plug and hard-wire the camera. Didn't want to do that since it would be nice to move the camera from vehicle to vehicle. Haven't checked into buying more power cords.

Q: QuestionWhen I hit the save button it should save a 1 minute clip then go back to loop recording but it stays on save mode until it fills up the card and stops recording. Is there a way to fix this? I'm about to throw this thing in the trash.

• A:Answer If you look at your manual, it'll guide you to an option called looped recording. With this option turned off, the camera will stop recording once the storage is full.

• A:Answer MODEL DCCAM: The cam battery is only good for 30 minutes. If you are running off the cig. lighter and the power is on once your key is out of the ignition, yes it can without using up your battery. I would not recommend it at night if you are away from your car. Someone might break your window and take the cam.
