“How to you charge the battery when first using? Does it charge when you plug it into the cig lighter? It says to charge for 90 mins on initial use? If you charge through the cig lighter does the car have to be running? Thanks!”

You can actually charge it at home with the usb cable that came with it. Just plug it into a wall charger.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can charge it through the cigarette lighter. My cigarette lighter doesn't stay hot when my car is shut off. If yours stays hot when car is shut off then you won't need to charge it all the time. It will stay charged. But mine charges within a reasonable time when I start my car.
