Can the police detect that you are using it? null

Short answer, Yes. The R7 is fairly good at blocking out a wide range of RDD’s but IS detectable by SPECTRE RDD’s. When the R7 was tested by SPECTRE devices, the detections were inconsistent and had to be close in order to pick up the signal. The Escort Redline EX does block out All RDD’s.

I rode through VA, a state where detectors aren't welcome while mine was running. Didn't get stopped.

My state doesn’t run detector detectors but before buying I saw multiple videos of independent testing and it was not detectable.

No they won't. You can detect them but they would not know that you arr using it. It is legal in most states except dc and virginia.

I’ve read different reviews where the radar was tested against radar detector detectors. In some tests, it was undetectable and in some is was. It’s kind of a hit or miss with this radar. Reviews on line will help clarify how it was tested.

This detector is visible yes though legal in all states except Virginia and D. C. So not typically monitored
