“If this is sitting on the dash will it work as well as if it was below the rear view mirror? Wondering if it needs to be up high for better 360degree visibility”

No you could hid it in the glove box honestly will still detect radar. Now laser this unit is awful at detecting laser be awar we of that. Excellnt Ka,K but laser poor so windshield dont matter because the laser is abiut 38% effective anyways at alerting you and thats within 700 feet they laser tag at 1800ft about roughly fyi. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have it on the dash , and it can detect cops sometimes 3 miles ahead of me (depending on the terrain) and it’s got a crazy long range in the rear as well .
