“Is it harmful to be left powered on at all times even when not using surround sound?”

• I've had this thing for years now, never disconnected power to either the transmitter or receiver regardless of what channels I am/am not using. All is still well, so I'd say no, it's not harmful.

• I've had my speaker kit for a while now and leaving it powered on hasn't hurt the device.
