“Does wireless mean zero cabling? I am trying to place two speakers on my deck with the premise they would be wireless. As I understand it, they would be stand alone, require no wiring and be accessed via the wireless transmitter which I would connect to my current receiver. Is there more to it than that?”

Unfortunately, it is not completely zero wires. The Base unit connects to your system which then connects wireless to the receiving unit. From this unit you would then have wires going to your two speakers on your deck. The receiving unit does power the two speakers independently. This device will eliminate extra long wires that can be tripped over or unsightly.

Our system is designed to be wireless between our sender and receiver so that you don't have to run the rear speaker wires all the way to your normal receiver.
