You can absolutely use this system as an alarm but if you want the manual locks to work with the alarm and to lock and unlock remotely it will require the addition of power lock actuators (small motorized switches which will have to be installed inside your doors) "see photo". The actuators are available through the installation department at your Best Buy store and will cost a bit extra for them to be installed as an addition to your alarm. Personally I really enjoy the convenience of being able to lock and unlock my car without needing to use a key, especially when carrying things.
