• I believe it's within an hour. I never manually turn mine off.

• It turns off automatically. I'm not sure how long once it's off, but when you pause a show, it will turn off after a few minutes.

• Alternatively, You can buy a power strip which has a control socket, meaning, that socket ( marked as control ) will control power to the rest of the sockets. So, when you turn off your TV, the equipment connected to the other slots will also be shut off and will come on when the mater comes on. Search for TrickleStar-Outlet-Advanced-PowerStrip-Joules on Google.
