yes but the sound is turned down each time so you have to raise the volume
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have using a VIZIO television the remote will power on the sound bar and control volume. If you are using a universal remote you can find the codes on support.vizio.com.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not found any way to link the on/off button for the sound-bar with the on/off button for the TV. I have a separate remote for my cable service (FIOS) and I have the basic TV functions (volume, channels, on/off, mute, previous channel) synced, so that I don't need the TV remote for these functions. The sound-bar volume and mute functions automatically synced with the cable remote, so that I don't need the sound-bar remote for them. TIP: I have found that turning the TV speakers OFF prevents an echoing sound when you have the sound-bar engaged. So I always need the sound-bar remote to turn on the sound-bar, and the cable remote for everything else.
