It has a Bluetooth function as a receiver to connect devices and play out through speaker (ie can connect phone and play music through speaker). It does not transmit from the speaker. Alternatively, You can connect a Bluetooth transmitter to your tv that will do what you want. I have one so that I can wear headsets to watch tv. It allows sound to come through headset and tv at the same time so if others wanted to watch/hear while I have on headset they can. The transmitter actually allows two devices so I take it when my husband and I are traveling via train and we can both watch a movie on the computer with our headsets. It is small and works wonderfully.
