“Is it possible to mount the sound bar to the bottom a Vizio M-series TV rather than mounting on the wall? I would prefer that the sound bar stay with the TV given a wall mounted TV.”

Our TV and soundbar are sitting on top of an entertainment cabinet. The soundbar is placed just in front of it but does not interfere with screen..
