Check to see if the picture mode is defaulting to 'Calibrated Dark' then change it to other mode.
My advise, return or exchange before your warranty ends, if you are seeing that issue again and again.

A:AnswerLooks like my answer is a little late... The builtin chromecast app is horrible. Just get a real on or some other type of casting/streaming device. For the price of this TV it is not like the built in chromecast is a selling point.
A:AnswerYes. I use the app to turn it on and off but you can use the xfinity and program but the xfinity remote is going to control your tuner. You will want to use the app to do everythgin else for your picture.
