• Yes, other remotes will still work I.E. a universal remote. (It does come with a remote AND tablet) This TV does only accept very basic commands however like play pause, input, volume, channel, and power. That's about it, other settings and deeper commands must be done with your phone or tablet. Hope that helps.

• I can't answer that, but I can say that my Harmony Smart Control had no trouble controlling the P65-C1. My suspicion is that despite the inclusion of the tablet remote, the IR side is business as usual.
