Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In terms of "what is a refresh rate" and whether a "higher refresh rate is better", see this article from PC Mag that gives a detailed explanation/answer to both questions. The main thing you should take away from it is that the ACTUAL/TRUE - as in what you'll get in reality - refresh rate is seldom the rate that companies like Vizio/Samsung/LG/ect. love to advertise/market (just look at Vizio's response to this question as an example). http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2379206,00.asp In regards to the ACTUAL/TRUE (again, as in what you actually get) refresh rate for the Vizio P65-C1 (not the "Effective Refresh Rate" Vizio uses for advertising/marketing purposes), it is 120Hz. This is about as "high" of a refresh rate as you will get with current 4K HDR televisions as there really aren't any currently for sale to consumers that offer an actual/true refresh rate of 240 Hz or greater (if you don't believe me, just Google a TV's model # followed by "actual refresh rate" where you'll find plenty of tech websites confirming this fact). For Vizio's 2016 P-Series televisions, there is an article on CNET confirming their refresh rates here (see table halfway down page): https://www.cnet.com/products/vizio-p-series-review-2016/
