“The speaker works fine via optical cable, however, still couldn't pair with my two phones (Sony XPERIA XZ and Google Nexus 5X). Put the speaker on the pairing mode, but it's not showing up on both phones, have been trying for 3 days.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem pairing the app to use any devices as a remote. Tech support was very helpful and quick to respond to my queries but I just couldn't get this feature to work. Fortunately there is nothing an app based remote can do that the regular remote can't. I could still pair via Bluetooth to play music over the soundbar, but that's a different function than syncing up the smart cast app.
