• Yes it can. I use it on my LG with an Nvidia Shield TV and a Monoprice HDMI switch. Works like a dream!

• Yes, I have a Samsung TV and use it with this. When connected through HDMI ARC port it will label the sound under Visio but can use your standard remote as long as you use the ARC port. You can also use optical as well which shouldn't effect compatibility as well, but don't think you should have any trouble with the HDMI port.

• Absolutely. You can use it with any TV you want, we have it hooked up to a TCL TV and it works great. It accepts a number of inputs and it doesn't matter where the sound is coming from, it'll work just the same.
