“I would like to purchase this soundbar to be installed on my wall beneath my tv. I understand there may be a small wire between the tv and soundbar, but I wouldn't want any additional wires running from the soundbar. Is this a true "wireless" system?”

Yes it is, however, like any electronic you buy, you will have a power chord to the bar itself, and also a wire to connect to your tv/cable box
