• George - We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the VTech SN5147. You may need to rest the telephone by disconnecting the AC power on the telephone base and battery on the cordless handset. Wait for 1 minute before re-installing the AC power and the battery, then test the unit again. If this does not work, please contact our Consumer Sales and Service Center between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday at 1-800-595-9511. Thank you, -VTech Support
