• The camera needs to be plugged in, however, it comes with a long cable. The monitor doesn’t need to be plugged in unless you are charging it.

• Hi - The parent unit on the VTech RM5764HD is wireless but the camera is wired. You need to connect it to an electrical outlet to work. Thank you for your interest! ~VTech Support
