• Hi - The VTech SN307 expansion cordless handset comes with a rechargeable battery. While the charger has to be plugged in to an AC outlet to charge the handset. Please note that this unit requires a main telephone base model VTech SN5127 or SN5147 to work. Thank you, -VTech Support
