I've only once used the Best Buy price guarantee service, and that was when an item I purchased went down in price within the two weeks they give you after purchase. In that instance, I just called them up, gave them the item number, and received a credit to my card, saving me around another 10%. I assume that if you found the item elsewhere for a lower price, you could do something similar.
