“Is it possible to use an extension cable? I would like to position a camera on the North side of my house and worry that I won't be able to mount the panel in any direct sun at all without a longer extension.”

I have not used them, but I seen the extension cables for these solar panels

Please try again later.It will not work with an extension cord since a longer cable will have high energy loss and the solar panel for this camera is already marginal, A cable that's too long for the job can adversely affect the performance of your heavy-demand tools and appliances and could overheat. In addition, a long extension cord gets in the way, and depending on where you route it, is vulnerable to damage.
