“My current Samsung water filter needs to be replaced says it works in system: DA97-08006A-1. Will this particular filter work as a replacement. I don't see the 1 in the "for use in system" on this unit. Please advise.”

Well, it works in most systems. But you need to get the exact filter number and size first before you order.
